Three Cool Websites

I did an assignment for three cool web designs that I enjoy and thought I'd share with you cool kids. So check 'em out below

GOOD WEB DESIGN

3) Find three examples online of websites that you think represent good web design. Write a short paragraph (at least 5 sentences) describing why each is an example of good web design. a) Include the site name and a URL link to each website.

Are you a designer? I think you would definitely know after looking at this page.  I stumbled upon this page and out of the gate it is inspiring. The splash page has a slideshow of chosen designs with an option to scroll if desired.  Then when you click that, a descending page of other designs opens and then the entire website lays out. IT’S GORGEOUS. I love the grid style layout, as well as the hover animation for the information of the subfolder. And when a folder is selected it automatically opens in a new tab.

I chose this page because as an information page, its layout is an informational page.  It’s spaced properly. There isn’t any clutter going on. The Data is visible. And older articles are featured on the page, but they are collapsed to keep the page clean.  This is a clean page. When designing a page to display data, this is the best example to follow.

Here’s a cool site.  It’s whole theme is great and stylish.  A slideshow of graphics and photos of a coffee beans journey.  And then below the slideshow are the photos in a gallery. A grand story on a minimal design.  The less is more approach is one of my favorites, because if you have great quality content, don’t hide it with bells and whistles.  This page is a great example of that.
