I chose to make a flip book.
It was quite the task. At first, I drew a rocket every 24 frames. Copying each rocket from the previous frame onto a new one.
Once I made it through the sequence, I realized that I could get a spot on rocket for each frame if I used a light box. To trace the first frame rocket on each new frame. I didn’t have a light box, so I used an office window, that was facing west, towards the sunset.
It had taken me a couple days to figure out the light/tracing trick. But once I did, redoing the cells was a breeze.
So big tip, keep your illustrations simple, and use a light source to keep your drawings uniform.
My drawing was the max 24 cards. I chose to do a rocket blasting off. Enjoy the video.
